Every Fusion frame begins as separate sheets of plant-based bio-acetate in different colors. They are pressed into a single block, cut into shape and buffed by hand until every layer shows along the edges. The result is color that runs through the material itself and a frame with depth you can see from every angle.

How it is made

From sheet to frame

Layer

Sheets of plant-based bio-acetate in each frame's colors are cut and stacked in order, front to back.

Fuse

The stack is pressed into a single block, bonding every layer into one solid material.

Cut and shape

The frame is milled from the fused block, and the cut edge reveals each layer in cross-section.

Hand buff

Built around a metal core

Every Fusion frame carries a metal core rod through each temple, so the arms hold their shape and keep a secure, balanced fit through years of wear. Premium hinges connect the front to the temples with a firm, smooth action.

On Navy Crystal, the clear interior puts the core rod on full display.

What makes a Fusion frame different?

Each Fusion frame is built from two or more colors of plant-based bio-acetate fused into a single material. The color runs through the frame itself, so every edge, temple and interior shows a layer you would never see on a single-color frame.

Are Fusion frames plant-based?

Yes. Every layer is bio-acetate made from renewable wood pulp and cotton fibers, the same material behind our Plant Based Polarized Collection.

What lenses do they use?

TAC polarized lenses with full UV400 protection. Calico uses smoke gray, and Tortoise Ivory and Navy Crystal use warm brown.

Will the colors fade?

The color is part of the acetate itself, with no paint or coating on the surface, so the layers keep their depth through years of wear.

What comes in the box?
